Forthcoming Issues 2023 and 2024

Essays in History is pleased to announce that our fifty-sixth issue will appear by the end of 2023. Manuscripts still in peer review at this time are now under consideration for our early 2024 issue, which will appear in the seventieth year since the journal's founding.

Submissions have temporarily closed and there will be an editorial pause from late November through the second week of December as we transition to a new journal management system, in continued partnership with Aperio Journals.

We deeply appreciate our contributors, peer reviewers, and readers for their part in expanding the journal's range of historical inquiry and scholarly engagement.
